CONNECT is the name of the last project we have been developing throughout the month of January 2021 in Sant Pau del Camp park (Raval, Barcelona) with the guest artist DEIH, under the theme of ecology and environment.

The objective was to raise awareness about ecology and the climate crisis with creative tools related to urban art. This work is the result of three workshops led by B-Murals with a group of 20 students (between 10 and 12 years old) from the Collaso i Gil school.

The first workshop consisted of a debate with the students on different murals by international artists related to ecological activism. For the second workshop we organized a visit to the urban garden located near the school together with an activity to introduce concepts such as self-cultivation at home and the problem with the consumption of plastic in food products. And the last workshop has been the collective creation of the said mural under the supervision of the artist. Thanks to the debates and topics mentioned in the two workshops, the students have been able to develop a general idea of the elements that will appear on the mural and the message that is shared in the artwork.

Following his intervention in Sant Pau del Camp park, we invited DEIH to paint a lateral on Arnau Gallery, the other project we are curating situated just near. Called BORN TO VIBRATE, the mural is an invitation to travel in the Barcelona of 2049 with a cosmic cyber punk creature. Painted in less than 8 hours, Deih showed us his skills on this 4×4 mural in his traditional 80’s style which he developped in his hometown Valencia.

Project organized in collaboration with Difusor with the support of Montana Colors, Districto de Ciutat Vella, Impulsem.
